Because it wouldn't be Christmas without them

Clearly, Christmas in the Var (that's the region of France in the south where Saint Raphael is located) wouldn't be Christmas without... SNOW WALRUSES.

???????????????????????

They had deer, penguins, bears, teddy bears. OK, cute. But what's with the abundance of walruses? 

Sometimes I think I will never figure this country out.
