You asked for it, you got it: another French cat post, this one from far outside Paris.
I'm in Saint-Raphaël to spend the holidays with one of Georges' sisters; Saint-Raph is on the Mediterranean between Saint-Tropez and Cannes if you're looking on a map. This morning, I happened to glance out of the kitchen window and saw a local cat (might be a stray but we've seen her before so she could also belong to a neighbor) sunning herself on top of my sister-in-law's car. I called to her to try and get her to face me; she merely glanced my way, then away again, clearly not wanting to be bothered.
Then, she took her disdain a step further:
And then... the final insult:
Considering this cat frequently attempts (and sometimes succeeds) to enter the house by leaping up very high to the balcony and entering through the open doors or windows, looking for a hand-out, you'd think she'd try a bit harder to ingratiate herself.
