I was downloading a lot of old photos from my Nikon's memory card in preparation for our trip (Georges' kids will be sharing it), and came across this amazing sunrise I captured from our loggia, one October morning.
Of course, at this time of year, sunrise doesn't even start until after 8am in Paris, and the sun has set by 5pm. We suffer through these very short winter days by reminding ourselves that we make up for it in the summer, when it stays light out until nearly 11pm!
Today is my mother's 77th birthday. She most likely won't be reading this blog post, but I'm sending her love all the same. At least I'll get to see her tomorrow!
