This post is about nothing. Because I really seem to have a bad case of Blogger's Block this week. And yes, it's been nearly an entire week since I last blogged, and it's rare that I go that long unless I'm traveling or sick.
This was a week in which nothing stupendous happened. My little step-son was home with us on the last days of his Toussaint holidays and that took up a bit of extra time for me, but that was only 2 or 3 days and he's really quite good; even had a playmate on one of the days. So that's no excuse for not blogging.
I have photos I could post. I could have gushed about how I just noticed my visitor counter crossed the 300 mark (and I didn't notice until now, when it's 300,693). I can usually find something that interests me enough to write about it. Yet not even the Yankees winning the World Series or my home state of New Jersey putting another Republican in the Governor's mansion (not that I was so enamored of Corzine) has interested me enough to make an entire post about things the professional journalists are already getting PAID to write about.
Maybe that's it. I want to write and get paid for it. I love my blog but it's not exactly paying my bills.
I'm feeling... slightly demotivated, I suppose you could say. Maybe it's because I'm spending more time lately editing a client's book. And thinking about (if not always actually working on) my own book. I did send out three query letters to literary agents last week. So that was something at least. Or maybe it's the lousy weather in Paris the past few days.
Or maybe there's just no reason for it at all. And it just is what it is. And what it IS, is that I just don't feel much like blogging at the moment. (Much to the chagrin of my biggest fan... Georges. Sorry, sweetie.)
Don't misunderstand: I am not quitting blogging. I just need to find my muse again. Until then... bear with me. Or follow me on Twitter if you just have to have a Bold Soul fix, because I seem to at least be able to crank out those 140-character blurbs on a daily basis.
Now... let's move along. Nothing to see here.
