I've no time to post anything fascinating, sarcastic, or original of my own today so instead will point to some of my favorite bloggers and a few news sources who all found ways to note VE Day when on May 8th 1945, World War II officially ended in Europe.

- Washington Post - also interesting to know that on this day in history, President Harry Truman was born (interesting how VE day occurred on his birthday during his first year in office) and in 1978 David Berkowitz confessed to the infamous "Son of Sam" killings in New York City
