You might not have noticed, but the sidebar material on my blog is all out of order today. Nothing is where it should be. Why this has occurred, I do not know, but I know I didn't change it myself. If there's something in the sidebar (both left and right) that you are used to seeing in one place, it might now be higher or lower than it normally is and you might have to scroll to locate it. I am working to resolve this with Typepad (because clearly someone there flipped the wrong flipping switch since yesterday -- when my blog was just fine, thank you -- and now everything is flipping messed up as a result) and hopefully my sidebars will be unscrambled and back to being perfect by tomorrow.
I am the biggest champion of technology. I have earned my living from technology for the past twenty years, have found clients using technology, attended training seminars on-line using technology, and have made good friends and even formed romantic attachments using the Internet. So technology is a wonderful thing. It has not just changed my life, but it's helped to make my life what it is today. I love how it can make things possible and make things easier. I am grateful for technology.
Except when some stupid human screws it all up.

Update 4/19/06: unable to stand it any longer, I took it upon myself to manually fix my sidebar material. So it's all nice and pretty again. Typepad didn't seem to want to own up to any internal technical fuck-wittage (I always feel like Bridget Jones when I use that word) after I reported the system bug. Like most technology products that are designed for customers with little or no technology background, their tech support team automatically assumes the customer is a techno-illiterate with only a single-digit IQ; therefore it MUST be the customer's fault. I like Typepad a lot as a service and rarely run into problems of any kind with them, but this kind of finger-pointing just irritates the hell out of me.
