Remember last month when I said I'd never successfully gotten a decent photo of the Pieta in Notre Dame?
Turns out, I was mistaken. I took this in 2006 in my first weeks here, and found it this week while going through all of my digital photo archives of the past 10 years. It's the only time -- I can now say with certainty -- that I have gotten a reasonably clean, in-focus shot from in front of the alter. At least, so far. Because of course I will keep trying.
This is one of those times when I was thrilled to be wrong.
