Yesterday afternoon, I finally went out for a short walk, where I first stopped at the nearest pharmacy for some acidophilus (known here as "Probiotique") and then decided to walk down a few streets that I'd only previously passed while on the bus, before heading home. I didn't go very far but I did manage to find a few interesting sights along the way.
This is a restaurant on Rue Blanche; it's a corner location, so the entire corner is red paint and Blabla Blabla Blabla, all the way around. I've never eaten there but actually it looks like it might be worth a try some afternoon when I've got nothing else going on; there's even a small terrace around the corner on the other side. I like how the artist worked her name into the sign at the end.
Down another street, Rue Ballu, I passed a kitschy antique shop of sorts. I love these old silk top-hats you can sometimes find in vintage shops, but the problem is I have a large head (can't even wear most hats for women) and these old hats were made in the era when people in general were much smaller, even the men. This mannequin's head is a little creepy, don't you think? She's up to something...
... but Professor Duck here must be keeping his eyes on her.
